WRITERS’ TRUST GALA at Four Seasons Hotel (NOV 25, 2014)

The Twenty-Sixth Annual Writers’ Trust Gala, aka iconic Canadian scribe and Writers’ Trust founder Margaret Atwood’s 75th Birthday Bash, celebrated with champagne and cake at the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville.
Hosted by comedian Colin Mochrie, the nebulous night commenced with canapés and cocktails, then continued with cuisine in the airy Aria Ballroom.
Amongst the sartorial splendor and glamorous gowns were writers such as Vincent Lam, 2006 Giller Prize winner and medical doctor, and former Governor General and journalist Adrienne Clarkson.
Over forty of the Canada’s literary elite were accompanied by four hundred lovers of written words to raise funds for the Writers’ Trust of Canada, a non-profit literary organization for the encouragement of writers in the Canadian community.
The illustrious evening fêted not only just the Booker Prize and Governor General Award winner founder of the Writers’ Trust but also all the amazing authors in attendance.
