Now in its 14th year, AGO Massive has established a reputation as “Toronto’s ultimate contemporary art party.” AGO Massive offers immersive art installations and performances from Toronto’s most promising creators, DJs that will get you moving, and irresistible food and drink all together in a themed experience that will excite, inspire and leave you craving more.
Can you believe everything you see? From smoke and mirrors to light and shadow, from colour and shape to depth and perspective, optical illusions have the power to fascinate, entertain, trick and astonish. They distort our realities and create impossible new worlds. They encourage us to look behind the surface and from new angles to discover the facts….or the fiction.
For centuries, we have come together around illusions—to be awed by them and to attempt to discover the mysteries of their making. At Massive Illusion, inspired by the engaging, wondrous art that has taken over the city with the blockbuster exhibition, Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors. guests are immersed in larger-than-life installations and performances that astound, mystify and hypnotize.
AGO Massive raises important funds that strengthen our collections and exhibitions, grow our audiences and access to transformative experiences, and remove barriers to welcome more curious minds at the AGO.
We would like to thank Samantha Chater of The AGO for the invitation to this event.
