Not even the frigidly cold weather stopped those interested in the Wedding Open House at One King West Hotel & Residence, Toronto. Brides and grooms to be, couples, wedding parties, family members, wedding planners were all there to take in every detailabout weddings. The spectacular, welcoming entry stairs were decorated with beautiful flowers. At the top corner were two vendors –The Perfume & Cologne Bar with Aromachology and the Photo Booth.
The main room with its high ceiling, beautiful décor and bright windows was set up with wedding tables for dinner, beautiful place settings and gorgeous flowers. The room was set up to imagine a couple’s special day … Stations of food to sample included baked salmon with a creamy sauce, roast beef au jus and potato tart, giant shrimps, cheese platters, crudities, crackers and dips.
Plenty of samples. All delicious. Attendees were offered red or white wine. Creating a musical setting was the house DJ. Hotel wedding planners were available for individual consultation. All received a gift bag with two wedding magazines, pamphlets and coupons.
In the separate back room we found a French fries station, candy buffet, S’mores grill, coffee and tea table, cappuccino machines and a beautiful selection of bit sized desserts on platters. More ideas of what to eat on that special day. Samples enjoyed by everyone!
Next was the elevator to the 12th Floor where there was the Whiskey sampling bar by Vanek Whiskey Events. A model was modelling an elegant lace wedding dress by Valencienne Bridal Design. The designer was in attendance for consultation. A huge table was ready for a large wedding group with an open centre beautifully set with wonderful place settings and gorgeous flower arrangements. The room was elegant and stunning. Vendors included Fuscia Designs for Floral and Décor, Stationery by Paper & Poste, Furniture Rental & Charger Plates from Detailz Couture Event Rentals. There was a very large wedding ceremony venue set up with chairs. Overlooking from the 13th floor railing you got a full view and could see and hear the Ben Eisenstein quartet perform. Their music was soothing and jazzy creating a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere.
Finally up to the 15th floor where hairstylist Hailey and another manicurist from TNCB The Nail and Champagne Bar gave complimentary hairstyles and polished nails. Make up was also touched up. Creativeflower arrangement samples were on display.Complimentary refreshments and a beautiful view of downtown Toronto through the icicle covered windows!
