Taste of the NFL’s Party With a Purpose @ Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta GA (Sat. Feb. 2, 2019)

by A.J. Lam

The widely anticipated Taste of the NFL’s annual food and wine event features 35+ food stations with prominent chefs from each NFL city serving their signature dish accompanied by a current or alumni NFL player, ready to autograph NFL helmets of strolling patrons.   The many foodies sample plates of fine cuisine, such as Nobu sashimi from the famous New York sushi purveyor, while meeting and mingling with renowned chefs and NFL greats,  and participate in a silent auction with unique fascinating sports memorabilia and other exciting items, such as a dazzling diamond necklace and prime Super Bowl tickets.

For over 25 years, #TasteoftheNFL has been working to #kickhunger with more than $25 million raised so far.  Millions of people in America are struggling with hunger,  with 1 out of 6 people, many of whom children and seniors,  still lacking food for the necessities of life.

The Taste of the NFL Mission is to address the needs of the hungry and homeless by raising awareness and money through special events and programs.

TNFL Founder and culinary entrepreneur, Wayne Kostroski, has led this charge since 1992.

Culinary superstars like Bobby Flay (a founding TNFL chef), Ted Allen – Chopped, Buddy Valastro – Cake Boss Andrew Zimmern – Bizarre Foods, Adam Richman – Man vs Food and Alex Guarnaschelli – Food Network are avid supporters and/or participants.

E & J Gallo Winery of California has been also been a perennial supporter, supplying its popular wines to pair with the delicious diverse culinary delights.

The NFL’s greatest players, (current, alumni and Hall Of Fame) support and/or participate in their local team events or the Super Bowl eve event: Randall McDaniel, Matt Stafford, Andre Reed, Steve Hauschka, Anthony Munoz, Benjarvis Green-Ellis, Kellen Winslow, Sr., Chad Greenway to name a few.  For this year’s Super Bowl eve Taste of the NFL, Hall of Fame fullback Franco Harris, of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was the star NFL attraction.

Popular country singer Martina McBride had the Cobb Galleria Centre crowd rocking to country tunes to end the evening on a musical note.

We would like to thank Susan Kricun of KRICUN Media, as well as Leah Goodman, Kristina Quintos & Jill Pedrani of Brooks PR.
