SNAP is one of ACT’s two annual fundraising events. A photographic fundraiser featuring a Live and Silent Art Auction, and a photo competition, SNAP is an opportunity to bring together those who have a passion for the arts and those who support the work of ACT.
The two events are the AIDS Committee of Toronto’s annual gala to support all of ACT’s services, and SNAP, a live and silent auction bidding on contemporary photography for guests’ art collections.
At SNAP, the reigning Drag Race winner Aquaria was there to entertain the guests.
This year’s Limited Edition Collection features four editions each of four different photographs taken by Gerald Hannon and discovered within the Canadian Lesbian & Gay Archives.
As the global LGBTQ community recognizes the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, it seems particularly appropriate as local communities commemorate the stories and people who helped shape where society is today.
SNAP has raised over $3 million since its inception in support of the important programs and services at ACT (the AIDS Committee of Toronto), a leading HIV service organization, supporting the more than 20,000 people living with HIV in Toronto.
We would like to thank Ferdinand Ngo for the invitation to this event and we look forward to SNAP 2020.
