Devour! The Food Film Festival TIFF Reception@Campbell House- Sunday, September 8, 2019
We were invited to Devour! The Food Film Festival TIFF Reception, held on Sunday night of TIFF, which is held every October, when the Nova Scotia festival organizers put on a 6-day food and film festival.
Days are spent with renowned chefs from around the world doing culinary workshops, and being involved in Conversations, wine tours, brewery tastings and more. Then, in the evening, world premieres of films with food themes – some dramas, some docs and so much more. Past guests have included Anthony Bourdain, Jacques Pépin, Dominique Crenn, Sam Kass, Chuck Hughes, Michael Städtlander, Normand Laprise, Michael Smith, John Higgins, Gordon Pinsent and Bill Pullman.
Devour’s festival soirees are becoming a real staple at all the biggest film festivals around the world. From Cannes, Venice to TIFF, they are known for putting on a culinary and wine feast, hosting the who’s who in the industry for two hours of incredible food stations, wine and beer tastings and mingling. At the event, they will be revealing a few programming highlights to this year’s film selection.

We joined Devour! organizers Michael Howell & Lia Rinaldo, along with host and partner, the Italian Trade Commission, at a reception to preview 2019 program highlights featuring captivating food, films and libations from this special part of the world.
