Collective Power of Peaceful Protests Explored in Premiere of Hanna Kiel’s ‘Resonance’ (Sept 26-28).

Exploring the concept of peaceful protest, the rock-infused performance, the upcoming Toronto Premiere of Hanna Kiel’s Resonance, on stage September 26–28 at Sts Cyril & Methody Macedonian-Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Cathedral in Cabbagetown,  is inspired by the mass public movement surrounding the impeachment of former South Korean president Park Geun-Hye. The resulting bold and provocative work asks what leads people to ignore their smaller differences and focus on a larger shared goal.

Part dance, part concert, Resonance features 12 athletic dancers who dive into the pulsing rock score – performed live on stage by a 4-piece rock band.  Promotional material provided by Ella Batten of Murray Paterson Marketing Group.
