Art For Animals is the annual silent art auction featuring some of Toronto’s most talented artists. All of the proceeds from the silent auction go to Mercy For Animals, an international non-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting compassionate food choices and policies.

This year, they partnered with Central Toronto Academy’s incredible, National Award-winning HeARTs program, as well as Lawrence Park’s robust art program, to feature original pop-art inspired works from these talented students.

The program specializes in social justice campaigning through the arts (Artivism) and features a series of paintings depicting animals they care about and wish to protect. The Animal Artivism exhibit is an incredible opportunity for these students to promote their work.

Everyone in attendance had a chance to purchase these art pieces and take them home to add to their art collection while supporting the foundation and local students.
The night was filled with one-of-a-kind art, fantastic music, incredible vegan food, flowing wine, and amazing raffle prizes!

Last year, over $3600 was raised, and this year, they are setting their sights on a much higher result! Whether it’s date night, family night out, or a night to network with like-minded people and have a great time, Art For Animals was the place to be! Overall, a fun night with amazing artists, silent auction treasures and raffle prizes.

We would like to thank Colombe Nadeau-O’Shea and Jason Reiniger for the invitation to this event. We look forward to the 2020 version of Art For Animals.
