The annual fundraiser for IJM took place November 7, 2019 at 20 Toronto Street, Toronto. The goal of International Justice Mission Canada is to end human trafficking and slavery.

The evening fundraiser held in the Grand Salon at 20 Toronto Street started was a reception and formal dinner. Hosted by CTV’s Pauline Chan with featured speaker Anu George Canjanathoppil, Executive Director of IJM Canada.

Up and coming singer, songwriter Basil Phoenix from CTV’s The Launch sang beautifully. Special guest Attorney General Doug Downey also spoke.

NourishHope founder Jennifer Ip of LAWPRO Toronto emphasised the necessary continuation of work of IJM to help save victims of the brutality they face.

Guests had the chance to learn about the process of IJM human trafficking rescue through the powerful Oculus Virtual Reality exhibit. The NourishHope event was an evening of connecting with like minded people interested in fundraising and learning more of the importance of IJM’s mandates. This was all done while enjoying drinks, a delicious meal and hearing informative talks in a beautiful setting.
