by A.J. Lam
As part of the Super Bowl 54 festivities in Miami, the fifth annual Celebrating Women in Football took place this year at the posh Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour. Along with champagne and delicious hors d’oeuvres, the event featured a special appearance by James Keith, of the popular milliner, Keith & James, NFL players and industry influencers, hip hop deejay DJ Rocksteady, Miami street artist Diana “Didi” Contreras painting Creed bottles for customers, and complimentary fashion illustrations by Josefina Fernandez.
Beautiful fashion models showcased Haute Couture, custom Neiman Marcus jerseys, as well as an $18,000 crocodile skin football and bejewelled Judith Lieber handbags.
The Keith & James hats were the fashionable accessory, looking perfect on both the ladies and the men who came out for Women in Football.
“Women make incredibly important contributions to the professional football industry, and play such a critical role in the lives of NFL players,” said Kelli Masters, one of Women in Football’s founding members. “The goal of our event is to highlight women who are breaking boundaries in the industry and to allow the men of football to honor the relevant women in their lives. These amazing individuals deserve to be celebrated!”
