Art Toronto Preview welcomed thousands of art collectors, gallerists, artists and art enthusiasts to browse art work curated by 90+ Canadian and international galleries on Thursday, Oct. 27th. The excitement continued at the After Party at Chef’s Hall featuring delicious food , music by DJ Killa Kels and curated mixology by Remy Martin with their cocktails.
Hundreds of crates of artwork arrived from galleries from across Canada, the US and abroad and exhibitors were putting the final touches to their booths. Art Toronto had an incredibly impressive year. The art fair experience included talks from influential art world figures as part of the Platform series, and being guided through the fair on one of the Curated Tours led by a range of art professionals.
While exploring the fair, guests encounter a series of 20 curated installations and project spaces including I am the American Dream (still just a Paki) / Seminar Series on Race, Destruction and the many afterlives of a Paki: A private talk for one by your less than ideal Representative by Divya Mehra (Night Gallery).A Finite Universe by François Mathieu (Galerie.a)
