Christmas @Castle Loma and Holiday Lights-Thurs.,Dec.1st,2022

By A.J.Lam & Steph C.

Celebrate the season with your family at Casa Loma! Christmas at the Castle has always been hugely popular. The Holiday Lights Tour at Casa Loma returns for another year. Jingle all the way through an illuminated trail alongside of captivating light shows, dazzling outdoor lighting displays, and live performances.

This festival trail takes visitors to the pavilion which is decorated with the March of the Nutcrackers, Christmas trees filled with cotton candy, macarons, donuts, and teddy bears flying from the sky. Not to mention singing penguins, and much, much more. Program dates and tickets are on sale now at www.casaloma.ca. Marvel at the dancing snowflakes projected on the historic castle and travel through the famous underground tunnel with Gingerbread men dancing Gangnam style until it reaches Santa’s workshop to pen letters to the North Pole or personally tell Santa himself your wish list when you take a Christmas photo with him. There are live performances in the garden such as magic show, roaming mime artists, mascots, stilts walkers and trios of carolers. The hottest show at the castle is performed by Guinness World Records holder for the most torches extinguished by fire eating in one minute, Brant Matthews, aka The Fire Guy. This Guy throws burning torches in the air and eats fire. Maybe he can roast some marshmallows to put into the delicious hot chocolate from the snack shops.  Christmas at the Castle runs 9:30 am to 4pm (last admission) and Holiday Lights Tour from 5pm to 10 pm (last admission). It opens December 1st until January 8th including Christmas Eve and Boxing Day; the castle will close on Christmas Day. www.casaloma.ca.
