By Steph C. & A.J. Lam

Leonard Cohen: Everybody Knows opens at the Art Gallery of Ontario. This latest major exhibition at the AGO celebrates the Canadian-born legend Leonard Cohen and features rarely seen materials from the Leonard Cohen Family Trust. Visitors of all ages are invited to explore the lifetime work of Cohen as the multidimensional artist he was.

Dive into Cohen’s internal landscape through his photographs, artworks, notebooks, videos, and his poetry and prose. Explore Cohen’s life as a writer and poet, and him as a songwriter and singer. Two large scale multi-channel works anchored this exhibition. Blake’s Offerings (2017) by Kara Blake invites visitors to hear Cohen reflect on his own writing and songs. An immersive video tapestry of over four decades of Cohen’s work by George Fok, Passing Through (2017) is a multi-channel video installation celebrating Cohen’s charismatic persona, music and stage performances. The audience will time travel through a collage of collective memories, musical moments, and emotions that have enchanted generations of fans around the world.
