It was a walk down memory lane. Growing up in the area of Dundas St. and Spadina Ave., and constantly seeing the Hong Luck Kung Fu club while walking to classes in Ryerson Public School. We first started inside the iconic martial arts club, with the dual dragons ceremony. We were then honoured to be invited and have access to this traditional historical ritual this past weekend.
2023 marked the 62nd Anniversary and Parade by Downtown Toronto/Chinatown area. Merchants, businesses and shops were blessed with the Dragon Dance.
The sounds of the drums , firecrackers and chants made the parade a great spectacle for a Saturday afternoon.
We look forward to the 63rd anniversary and parade for The Hong Luck Kung Fu Club on Sept. 2024, and would like to thank Ray Lee and the rest of the Hong Luck team for the invitation to this amazing event.
