The Elevate Festival took place in Toronto from September 26th to 28th, 2023. Tuesday September 26th evening was the opening night. The doors to Meridian Hall opened at 5pmwith a big crowd of people waiting outside to eagerly get in. Opening the event was Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow who praised the start-up sector for its importance to Toronto and its global connections. Red Sky gave a beautiful Ingenious dance and musical performance to open the Festival. MC Amber Mac enthusiastically spoke about the two coming days of Elevate. Canadian multi-Olympic Medalist Andre De Grasse was in conversation with John Ruffolo.
What is the Elevate Festival? It is Canada’s largest tech and innovation festival with innovators and industry leaders building a better future for us.Elevate Festival was founded in 2017 as a Canadian non-profit organization and it produced its first tech start-up festival. The festival included well-known people and innovators. Toronto hosted the Elevate Festival again this year at Meridian Hall, St. Lawrence Centre and The Design Exchange.
In addition to Andre De Grasse, speakers included Lisa Laflamme with Farah Mohamed, Arlene Dickinson and Dianne Buckner of Dragon’s Den. Tynomi Banks. Sarain Fox. Chef Susur Lee. At Elevate Festival 2023, there were talks from world-class speakers, evening socials, lots of chances to build and connect with your community… the start-up tech community. The talks were inspiring and empowering. Making an impact, showing innovation and connecting you with others in the heart of Toronto. Toronto being the third-largest tech hub in North America! There were a lot of chances to network and connect with other like-minded people or people to get a new perspective! Areas included Startups, Investors, Women in Tech, Youth, Executives. Volunteer opportunities too!
So it was a very busy and fulfilling tech festival. An exciting opening night followed by two full days of talks and workshops. A very full packed schedule. Mark your calendar for next year’s 2024 Elevate Festival in Toronto!
