ComKids Masquerade Ball @Casa Loma-Thursday, October 26th,2023

Thursday, October 26 was a busy night at Casa Loma! It was the ComKids Masquerade Ball 2023! Dressed for the black tie event with beautiful evening dresses and suits, the ComKids fundraiser supporters were masked as well! Creative and beautiful masks of all kinds! And everything was in aid of the ComKids program. What is the ComKids program? The ComKids Program has supported students in various school boards in the Toronto GTA since 1998 – as well as the Toronto Police Service. ComKids mandate is to even out the power of technology for students by providing new laptops and Internet access to enable youth to reach their potential. Monthly Lead & Learn sessions for both educators and police officers provide students with the mentorship which builds healthy relationships with authority figures. This in turn encourages students to positively impact their communities. Over 7,000 students have been assisted through their involvement in the ComKids program.

The 2nd Masquerade Ball black tie fundraiser event in support of ComKids took place Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the exquisite Casa Loma where 250+ guests with purchased tickets enjoyed a stand-up cocktail style reception, delicious food, drinks and a variety of live entertainment including a DJ and musician playing electric violin and a group of dancers who performed spontaneously. Food stations were set up around the beautiful Casa Loma event centre areas including the spectacularly glass domed building. Bars were available as were drink mixes and bottles at various tables for guests to serve themselves. Lots of room for guests to mingle and to sit comfortably at tables or couches. After 9pm an Interactive dessert was available in the library. Later was an amazing Flapper performance by Bongo & B. Late night food stations opened and the key unlocking and the winners were revealed at 10:30pm! All a very elegant and exciting evening with friends and colleagues. A magnificent fundraiser for ComKids! All the support is certainly greatly appreciated. Not to be missed next year 2024!
