Fashion Art Toronto (FAT) is an annual multi-arts fashion event and the longest-running fashion week in the city. The event is celebrated for its 18-year commitment to providing an inclusive platform for Canada’s fashion and artist communities and presenting thought-provoking fashion shows and immersive multimedia art installations.
This year’s 4-day event featured designers such as Solouk, Meesh, Brandon Keir, Purple Hearts Supply, Kerotix and Kendrick Tran’s debut solo.
In addition to the runway shows, the Fashion Playground exhibited photography, paintings, installations and illustrations from local artists. A luxury pop-up shop concept with a curated collection of black fashion, accessories, beauty, and lifestyle products celebrating black brands’ rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit. Apparel, jewellery, accessories, beauty products and more from over 20 Canadian artisans and brands were present for attendees to shop from.
FAT is a platform for emerging talents, emphasizing diversity and inclusivity in fashion expression. With runway shows, exhibitions, and live performances, it fosters experimental design, unconventional beauty, and social commentary. Congratulations on a successful 2023 fashion week!
