It was the Superbowl 58 kickoff on Monday, Feb. 5. The National Football League and Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Committee hosted the Welcome to Super Bowl LVIII Press Conference in the Media Center at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The press conference welcomed notable speakers to officially kick off the Superbowl week.

There were opportunities with the Vince Lombardi Trophy which was available onsite. We were invited to a breakfast platter before the speeches began. The line included:
- “Mr. Las Vegas” Wayne Newton
- Peter O’Reilly, NFL Executive Vice President, Club Business, League Events and International
- Governor Joe Lombardo, Governor of Nevada
- Steve Hill, Chief Executive Officer and President, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority
- Jim Gibson, Clark County Commissioner
- Maury Gallagher, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Allegiant Air and Chair, Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee
- Sandra Douglass Morgan, President, Las Vegas Raiders and Vice Chair, Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee
- Sam Joffray, President & CEO, Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee
With the pomp and pageantry, the Vegas show girls were present with Wayne Newton to bestow a special presentation to a lucky lady who was awarded two tickets to Superbowl 58 and so the kickoff began in Las Vegas.
Next we were shuttled to the Allegiant Stadium for the NFL Stadium-Food /Beverage preview. There were opening remarks followed by 1:1 opportunities and samplings.
Sunday Billings – NFL Senior Director, Events and Julia Lombardi – Vice President of Hospitality and Strategy for Silver & Black Hospitality – NFL, Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium hospitality partner started the event on the podium.
The hospitality was superb and top notch for the stadium viewing. Then we were off to the suites for an amazing tasting of the savory delicacies that would be served during the Superbowl game in these fantastic box seats and what a view of the whole field.
Allegiant Stadium for Opening Night occurred in the evening, but the exuberant fans arrived early to gain access to the stadium. Allegiant Stadium had 24,000 attendees gathered for this monumental grand opening event for all to attend.

There was also a spirited performance by the renowned Blue Man Group and an appearance by comedian-Carrot Top. It also marked the final public appearance for both the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs before Super Sunday. Both teams were available to the media for interviews and the high profile players were stationed in their own cubical for a “first come, first serve” arms length of the player of choice. Of course the main personalities such as KC Chiefs: Mahones, Kelce, Pacheco and coach Reid. For the 49ers: Purdy, McCafferty, Warner, Samuels and coach Shanahan, were all cornered immediately, bombarded with questions-some relevant, some head shakers.
We had the privilege to attend two more press conferences on Tues.,Feb. 6th-7th.
