President & CEO, CARAS Allan Reid welcomed everyone and spoke with pride and happiness about the JUNO Nominees Announcement for 2024.















Nominees in two key categories: TikTok Juno fan choice: Charlotte Cardin, Daniel Caesar, DVBBS, Josh Ross, Karan Aujla, Shubh, Tate McRae, the Weeknd, ThxSoMch, Walk off the Earth.












Artist of the year: Charlotte Cardin, Daniel Caesar, Lauren Spencer Smith, Shania Twain, Tate McRae.
The 2024 Juno nominations were announced. This year’s top nominee is Montreal singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin with six JUNO nominations including Artist of the Year & Album of the Year for 99 Nights. Next are Toronto’s Daniel Caesar and Ottawa’s Talk both with five Juno nominations including Single & Album of the Year. Other nominees are Shania Twain, Arkells, Ammoye, Loud Luxury, Nickelback, the Beaches, Walk off the Earth, Aysanabee, Brett Kissel, Rêve, Splash’N Boots, Haviah Mighty and her sister Omega Mighty. Nelly Furtado will be the host of the JUNOS for the second time. The 53rd Annual JUNO Awards will broadcast and stream live across Canada from Scotiabank Centre in Halifax at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. AST on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen, and globally at CBCMusic.ca/junos and CBC Music’s YouTube page. It’s the first time in 18 years that the JUNOs have been held in Halifax. And what a way to bring back a queen of Canadian music, Nelly Furtado, who will not only host the event but also perform! The line-up for the JUNOs concert is amazing. We’re all looking very much forward to it with anticipation.
