| Dances with Films 27 Opens Thursday, June 20th with the first of SEVEN multiple-film ORANGE carpets at TCL Chinese TheatreHey, kids, guess what time it is? IT’S DANCES WITH FILMS: Los Angeles TIME!!!Opening night is THIS Thursday. John Wildman and I have teamed up on the PR for this fest for the first time.WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?First off, it means we’ll be doing SEVEN big ORANGE Carpets out of the 11 days of the fest (See the film lineups below!).Rather than trying to figure out which film you might want to cover over the nearly two weeks of the fest, we’re GANGING THEM UP, delivering numerous films with ALL of their filmmakers (sometimes more than 30 films on one red carpet)in a carefully organized and executed hour and a half or less for SEVEN of those nights.We hope this is more appealing and efficient for you. Much less of a pain in the arse. And John Wildman thinks of himself as a red carpet god. I’m just his wingman. Let us know which ones you want to cover or send someone to cover (fingers crossed that it will be ALL of them) as all press spots on the carpets will be pre-set/pre-marked for media arrivals. And if any of you want screeners of films, let us know and we’ll do our best to get them for you (not all filmmakers have offered out their films for advance reviews).We’ve summarized the days and films for the festival below.
