The Jitters at Hugh’s Room on November 8th was an absolute blast! It felt like a throwback to the ’80s Toronto music scene, but with a refreshed vibe that totally worked. The band brought their signature energy, and the audience was all in, singing along to their hits. Frontman Blair Packham’s vocals were as strong as ever, carrying both the raw intensity and melodic finesse that has always defined The Jitters’ music. Standout moments included fan favourites like “Last of the Red Hot Fools” and “Closer Every Day,” which were met with enthusiastic sing-alongs and applause.

The venue at Hugh’s Room added to the intimacy of the night. It’s such a perfect spot for a show like this—small enough to feel connected with the band but big enough to really get a crowd going. The sound was fantastic, too; every riff and every note came through crystal clear. You could see the band feeding off that energy, especially with the fans cheering them on.

What was even better was how relaxed the band was; they cracked jokes between songs and seemed to be genuinely enjoying the night. It felt like a reunion of friends more than a formal concert. They even threw in some surprises, with a couple of deep cuts for the longtime fans.

Overall, The Jitters proved they’ve still got it. Great tunes, great crowd, and a night that felt special. Here’s hoping they keep doing shows like this—it’s the kind of music nostalgia you never get tired of!
