The Carousel Bar, The Fan Experience, Brennans & The Fathead Cognac Event -Wed., Feb. 5th, 2025

We arrived at The Carousel Bar which opened inside the historic Hotel Monteleone in 1949, becoming New Orleans’ first and only rotating bar.

Its carousel theme and unique design is a treat you won’t find anywhere else, offering guests a pleasant, subtle rotation around a world-class cocktail bar every 15 minutes. A unique way to offer cheers during Super Bowl week!

Next we took a walk to the convention centre for The fan Experience. We immersed ourselves at the interactive stations, testing out our arms and tried some of the blocking pads during our afternoon at this fun experience.

Now we were off to Brennan’s for dessert. The fried banana cooked in front of us was tasty with just enough sweetness to add to the flavour of the dessert.

Afterwards we had dinner at MaMou. The line up to get in was real and luckily we had a reservation before the main event for the evening. They had a wide selection of excellent Belgium beer, the fresh hot bread was amazing and it was a night of ordering mouth watering steaks cooked to perfection at medium rare.

After dinner we were ready for the main event on a Wednesday for Super Bowl 59 week.

We were also invited to the “LE PORTIER COGNAC FATHEAD KICK OFF PARTY”

Hosted by Shannon Sharpe at Brasa, a bit crowded, but we found an adjacent room that had a silent auction with sport paraphernalia. Servers were bringing in some finger foods and sampling signature drinks to enhance the auction experience.

It was a Wednesday night and after speaking with the chef and sampling the tasty cauliflower delicacy, we decided to rest up for a busy Thursday of activities in New Orleans.
