We had the opportunity to watch Casa Loma’s “Symphony In The Gardens – Movie Night” and it was a packed house (or should I say castle) filled with awe-inspired movie buffs and film score lovers.

Led by Maestro Paolo Busato, a world renowned conductor, the Casa Loma Orchestra performed hits from films such as Spiderman, Mission Impossible, Interstellar and many more, all set to scenes from the movies, captivating the audience not only with some of their favourite soundtracks, but cherished moments from their favorite films.

The night also featured performances by operatic tenor Joey Niceforo and soprano Sara Papini adding vocals to classics from films like Moulin Rouge, Grease and Wicked. These two singers have incredible voices individually, and when you put them together it’s operatic vocals like no other all across Canada.

All combined, this powerful group of musicians and artists created a night that won’t be forgotten by fans anytime soon, with Casa Loma providing a backdrop under the stars, creating an atmosphere that can’t be replicated in this city. They brought magic into the ears, eyes and hearts of the crowd, who had the chance to feel like royalty for the night.

Every single seat was filled, from the beautiful glass pavilion all the way through the garden, the perimeters were lined with listeners and even the upper floor landing of the castle was filled, and it’s clear to see why. If you’re a music and / or film lover you won’t want to miss the next edition.
