It was the 112th edition of the yearly Canadian tradition as the Saskatchewan Roughriders are Grey Cup champions for the fifth time in club history. At the Grey Cup halftime show, American musician MGK was the headliner. Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace performed during the SiriusXM Kickoff Show, and Manitoba country singer Catie St. Germain sang the national anthem.
A classic battle of between the quarterbacks-Montreal Alouettes-Davis Alexander and Saskatchewan Roughriders-Trevor Harris
On Sunday night at Winnipeg’s Princess Auto Stadium, the Roughriders beat the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 for Saskatchewan’s first Grey Cup title in 12 years.
The game started off with a turnover on the first series as Alouettes’ quarterback Davis Alexander had his first pass of the game picked off. On Saskatchewan’s first offensive series, quarterback Trevor Harris nearly gave it right back, but Als’ dropped what would have been a pick-six.
Seconds left in the game,Montreal had one final chance for a touchdown from midfield with six seconds left,they”hailed Mary”a pass into the end zone but the pass fell short and incomplete as the Roughriders secured the win. Saskatchewan Roughriders-Trevor Harris was named the MVP of the game and we look forward to 113th edition of the Grey Cup being held in a Calgary,Alberta on Sunday, November 15th,2026
