Dragon Ball to Welcome the Year of the Horse

The 37th annual Dragon Ball, presented by Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation, will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 (Valentine’s Day), at the Automotive Building, Exhibition Place.

Widely recognized as the largest Lunar New Year celebration of its kind in North America and one of Toronto’s premier fundraising galas, the event’s details were unveiled at the media launch on Monday, January 26, 2026, held at Royal Bayview, a luxury condominium developed by Tridel, a leading Canadian real estate developer and long-time supporter of Yee Hong.

Dr. Joseph Wong, Founder and Chair of Yee Hong Foundation, revealed that the Dragon Ball has raised over $23 million over the past 36 years to support Yee Hong’s four long-term care homes, a hospice in Scarborough and extensive community services across the Greater Toronto Area. “Our fifth nursing home, the new Yee Hong Ng Siu Chan Centre is expected to welcome its first residents this fall. Yee Hong will have a total of 1,029 long-term care beds. Yet, with the aging population, over 9,000 seniors remain on our waiting list. We rely on ongoing community support to address this urgent need and ensure that more seniors benefit from culturally appropriate care.”

Helen Ching-Kircher, one of the Gala’s Honorary Patrons, Dealer Principal, President & CEO of DFC Auto Group Inc., Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto & Audi Uptown, remarked, “Our partnership with Yee Hong dates back to 1989. More than three decades of support and trust have allowed us to witness Yee Hong’s outstanding achievements in long-term care and community services. The Dragon Ball is not only a cultural celebration, but also an important platform for raising essential funds to support Yee Hong’s continued growth and development.”

Another Honorary Patron, Jim Ritchie, President of Tridel Group of Companies, added, “Tridel has also partnered with Yee Hong for over 30 years, and we have seen firsthand the profound impact it has made on seniors in our community. We are proud to once again sponsor the Dragon Ball in support of Yee Hong’s vital mission and look forward to continuing our efforts to enhance the lives of seniors.”

Stephen Siu, President of Yee Hong Foundation, expressed sincere gratitude to all sponsors and donors. “Everything we accomplish is made possible by our generous sponsors and donors. This year, more than 30 corporate and media partners have generously contributed, giving Yee Hong the confidence to continue expanding our services and provide more seniors with long-term care beds and compassionate support.”
