The Canadian International AutoShow also known as the Toronto Auto Show returned to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) from February 13 – 22. More than 300,000 people were in attendance. The massive event has been running each year since 1974. It is the largest auto consumer show in Canada with exhibits, displays and activities. Here are some of the highlights.
Supercars and ultraluxury cars – Grand Touring Automobiles showcasing Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce amongst others. Other presenters showcased vehicles from brands such as Ferrari, Lotus, Maserati and McLaren.














Hypercars and exotic cars including
- Bugatti Mistral — The fastest convertible in the world, capable of going 453.91 km/h. Only 99 units made.
- Koenigsegg CCR — This car helped establish what was then (2004) a new supercar brand. The CCR briefly held the title of world’s fastest car in 2005.
- Koenigsegg Jesko — The Jesko is Koenigsegg’s most recent vehicle and was named the Top Gear automotive publication’s hypercar of the year in 2022.
- McLaren W1 — The W1 is the successor to the P1, which was the successor to the fabled F1. All three will be presented together.















Classic cars – there were a few presenters of classic cars this year.
Toy Cars – Returning to the AutoShow this year were Hot Wheels and the Lego Group. Legoès displayed included a pink Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special convertible made from 418,556 Lego bricks!
Hot Wheels, the toy carmaker partnered with Mercedes-Benz to create a life-sized Mercedes-Benz CLA. It is a Hot Wheels art installation. A Walmart pop-up shop was at the AutoShow featuring Hot Wheels products. It was a very busy place!!
Apart from the rare, expensive and unique cars,the AutoShow is also where you can check out the latest vehicle models to consider for everyday life from mainstream to luxury brands. There were more than 40 brands in addition to test drives. The largest indoor EV test track was at the AutoShow. People could also do outdoor test drives of a variety of electric and non-electric models.















The AutoShow is spread out in both the North and South Buildings of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It’s a great outing with friends, family and solo. For business or for personal interest. It’s the biggest auto show in Canada. An annual event which we look forward to every year with its special guests, speakers and the chance to see beautiful cars.
The AutoShow is an amazing event for everyone including families and kids to enjoy the many activities. A great, interesting place to visit. MTCC is easy to get to by transit – TTC subway, out of town buses, GO train and walking. Lots of parking too.
