Famed music producer David Foster raised a whopping $4.2 million in his annual charity event at this year’s sold-out David Foster Miracle Concert & Gala. The event, held in Toronto at the Allstream Centre on Dec 5th, was co-hosted by Global news anchor Leslie Roberts and CNN’s Christi Paul.
The money raised by the David Foster Foundation will help nearly 200 Canadian families with children in need of donor organs, providing financial supports to families for all non-medical expenses while their children are undergoing lifesaving organ transplants.
The gala was highlighted by performances from such acts as Earth Wind and Fire, comedian Sinbad and renowned singer Andrea Bocelli. Among the many celebs in attendance was Canadian TV icon Alan Thicke, who was there to support his friend David Foster.
The David Foster Foundation hopes to raise $30 million by its 30th anniversary in 2017.
