Jack Daniel’s & The Hive to unveil famous Holiday Barrel Tree Lighting ceremony a Canadian first; will be toasted with new Winter Jack apple whiskey punch

Toronto, ON – On Wednesday, December 11, Jack Daniel’s will be unveiling the first-ever Canadian Jack Daniel’s Holiday Barrel Tree – an impressive 23-foot tall tree made of Jack Daniel’s original whiskey barrels – with an official lighting ceremony in downtown Toronto. Guests will also get to sample Jack Daniel’s delicious new apple whiskey punch – Winter Jack, while enjoying a performance of festive carols by the Grant A.M.E. Church Choir.

The tradition of using empty barrels of Jack Daniel’s to build was first introduced at the company’s headquarters in Lynchburg, Tennessee. The iconic Tennessee whiskey distillery has since raised a holiday barrel tree in London, England and now has its sights set on Toronto.  The tree consists of 50 Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrels, each 36 inches tall and 22 inches wide at its center, and will be a welcoming sight for the King West neighbourhood this holiday season.

The Canadian unveiling will happen at the Brown-Forman Canada & Hive offices. Brown Forman & The Hive have been marketing & sales partners for over 15 years in Canada, USA and Internationally, including the last 4 years as the ‘BF Canada Powered By The Hive’ organization.

Because of Jack Daniel’s & The Hive’s ongoing support of the arts and arts programs as a way of teaching independence and inspiring confidence, monetary donations will be accepted on site to Sketch – an arts-focused charity targeting at-risk, street-involved and homeless youth.
