11th Annual ANGELS BALL – In Support Of Free The Children – Sat. Sept. 27, 2014 @ Montecassino Woodbridge
A big “shout out” goes to ANGELS BALL Chair Mr.Glenn Webster of The Toronto Earlscourt Rotary and the rest of The Board Of Directors for their invite and hospitality for the 11th Annual ANGELS BALL – In Support Of Free The Children.
The charity proceeds from this year’s 2014 ANGELS BALL to the Free The Children Adopt a Village Program project in Ecuador’s Amazon Rainforest.
Founded in 1995, when a 12 yrs old Craig Kielburger assembled eleven of his Grade 7 classmates to fight child labour. 19 years later, “Free The Children” is a force in over 45 countries with over 2.3 million youths participating as international charity and educational partner, working both domestically and internationally to empower and enable youth to be agents of change .
The evening also served to honor Mr. Alan Tonks the 2014 “Honorary Rotation,” Tonks was being honoured for decades of leadership and contributions to the people of Canada.
There was also a 99th Birthday presentation to Toni Ciccarelli who’s dedicated hours of time to support charities were dully noted.
Also on hand and her 8th consecutive year as emcee was veteran broadcaster, personality and philantropist: Christine Bentley.
A cocktail reception started the festivities for the eventing. Then a scumptious dinner and dessert accented the eventing. A live and silent auction was carried on throughout the evening and DJ Entertainment was provided by Veriation Music.
Next year’s 12th annual ANGELS BALL has been announced and it will be in support of Transforming Faces, Mr. Paul Fernandes was on hand to speak to the audience about Transforming Faces and we look forward to next year’s edition of The Toronto Earlscourt Rotary Club ANGELS BALL.
