Hockey & WWI Centennial Exhibition Opening, Nov. 10, 2014 @Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto

The Hockey Hall of Fame (HHOF) in partnership with the Library Archives Canada (LAC) opened the exhibition on hockey and the First World War and to commemorate the centennial anniversary of its start.  This new exhibition highlights how WWI impacted hockey players with displays of its artifacts, graphics and interactive stations for the public viewing.

The highlight of the opening was having Johnny Bower and Leonard “Red” Kelly attend the opening and to share their stories and the effects on WWI, WWII an the Korean War and how it effected hockey.  What started out as a great photo-op with the two great legends, turned out to be a 10 minute conversation between the two about their involvement and experiences during the wars following WWI.

Special thank you to Kelly Masse (Director, Corporate and Media Relations) for allowing coverage to this event.
