LA Kings Stanley Cup Ring Donation, Dec. 13, 2014 @ Hockey Hall of Fame

On December 13, 2014, a day before playing the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre, the L.A. Kings were in town and took the opportunity to give the Hockey Hall of Fame one of their 2014 Stanley Cup rings.  The L.A. Kings also donated their 2012 Stanley Cup Ring that is displayed in a special showcase that includes the first ever Stanley Cup ring from 1893.

Also on hand from the Kings were Hall of Famers Luc Robitaille and Rob Blake.  The Kings Hall of Famers were joined by head coach Darryl Sutter, assistant captain Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown.

Before the 2014 ring was placed in its designated spot inside the showcase, Justin Brown walked around the roped-off area and showed the 2014 Stanley Cup ring to the hockey enthusiasts and Hockey Hall of Fame visitors gathered for the event.

Dustin Brown admitted he does not wear his ring in public and only breaks his two rings out of their boxes for curious house guests.   The Stanley Cup ring is “…a keepsake for me to pass down to my kids,” he said.

To view the Stanley Cup Rings, visit the Hockey Hall of Fame located inside Brookfield Place (Downtown Toronto).

Special thank you to Kelly Masse (Director, Corporate and Media Relations) and  Bob Stellick for allowing coverage to this event
