1st ANNUAL BUSKER SOIREE “The Night is Yonge” @Aperture Room (Aug 13, 2015)
It was a fun and stylish fundraising event in support of Epilepsy Toronto for the very 1st annual Busker Soiree “The Night is Yonge”. The evening was hosted by NBA star Tristan Thompson and CTV News’ Andria Case.
Since its inception in 2000, Toronto International BuskerFest for Epilepsy has featured hundreds of the best street performers from around the world, hosted millions of amazed spectators and helped raise much-needed funds for Epilepsy Toronto. BuskerFest is the largest street performers’ festival in North America and is the largest Epilepsy awareness-raising event in the world.
The entertainment for the evening was Canadian icon Jully Black dubbed the “Canadian Queen of R&B Soul” by her fans and peers. A Platinum selling recording artist, her multiple singles have reached Top 10 in the pop, R&B and dance music charts. Jully as always was very gracious with her time by mingling and taking pictures with the people in attendance. It’s always a pleasure to see Jully at events.
The Busker Soiree performers for the evening included: Chalkmaster Dave, Dream State Circus, Ezra Houser, Hercinia Arts Collective, Isabella Hoops, Jennifer Jakob, Lacey Lucidity, Lalo Porto, Max T.Oz, Nathaniel Rankin, Natasha Kudashkina, Steven Brundage and Vanita Butrsingkorn. The 16th Annual Toronto International BuskerFest for Epilepsy presented by Scotiabank BuskerFest runs from Aug.27th to Aug.29th in downtown Toronto Yonge
