C.N.E. 2015 Concert Series-Foghat,Big Bad Voodoo Daddy+Monster Truck@Bandshell(Aug.21st-Sept.7th,2015)

Yes it’s the C.N.E. 2015 Concert Series and I was wondering if they could top last year’s concerts? Well the promoters sure did in a big way!

We started it off with “America” on opening day (Feel free to read our review). Here is some of the concerts we attended. I’m feeling nostalgic when I bring up Foghat! Yeah it isn’t the heydays of the 70’s when they filled up arena with their style of Blues and Rock N’ Roll but the fans were definitely here for the hits and they delivered! Stone Blue,3rd Time Lucky,Slow Ride,Fool For The City+I Just Want To Make Love To You! Keeping the Blues alive and well is the way Foghat does it and it appears a new album is in the works and we can expect an extensive tour in the New Year.

If you like Visual Concerts this was the summer concert to attend! Musicians in”Zoot Suits”,Fedora and”Ricky Richardo”trousers. I felt like I was at the Cotton Club listening to Cab Calloway! The horn section was amazing and the whole front area was filled with patrons dancing the night away. I never lived through this era but my grand pop use to play this music and for one night I really enjoyed the concert of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy!

Based out of Hamilton, Ontario”Monster Truck”style of Rock n’Roll can be compared to Mountain,Cream and Deep Purple. I remember seeing Monster Truck open up for “Slash” and read that Slash was a real fan following their tour. It was a full house at the Bandshell for the Labour Day Weekend of the C.N.E. The crowd was very obedient with a big presence of security and the police. I guess they were expecting a very “rowdy crowd”? The whole front role were heard saying they have followed Monster Truck for this whole tour. One thing you can say about Monster Truck is :They know how to rock and really look like they are enjoying playing live music. Yes the crowd was energetic but it really came to a climax when “Sweet Mountain River” was played and then the audience went beserk! What a way to end the summer with Monster Truck and the organizers of the C.N.E. positioned this show perfectly for the Labour Day Weekend.
