Scorpions 50th Anniversary World Tour@Molson Amphitheatre(Fri.,Sept.18th,2015)

It was the 50th Anniversary for the German based Rockers called Scorpions! Opening up was Seattle progressive rock band Queensryche. Unfortunately lead singer and founding member Geoff Tate is no longer in the band. We hope to see Geoff Tate’s new band Operation Mind Crime in town soon! Saying that we decided to forego this scaled down version of Queensryche and wait for Scorpions to appear on stage.

The wait was highly anticipated as the band has a documentary out called Forever And A Day showing a limited run in limited theatres. As guitarist Rudolf Schenker said:”You Have To Say Goodbye To See How Welcome You Are” Well they tried to say goodbye with a So Called Farewell Tour five years ago.

There seemed to be alot of missing pieces to this show which could possibly be their Final Final Tour. Schenker didn’t have his signature forks over his two eye lids, the set was short and there were some of the usal crowd favourites which were missed. After the show ended some of the crowd were heard saying”Is that it? the concert was so short” If this is their Swan Song they really weren’t “Going Out With A Bang”
