Dare To Dream in aid of New Beginnings@Fairmount Royal York(Sat.,April30th,2016)
This was the 8th annual gala in aid of “New Beginnings” support program and the theme this year was “Dare To Dream”. Patrons of the event were treated to a delicious three course dinner as the hosts and acts entertained the guests as they dined, browsed the items at the silent auction tables and purchased raffle tickets for a coveted prized necklace! The party continued into the night as guests took to the dance floor and danced to the music of a d.j. Guests were observed making several trips to the silent auction table to ensure they got their winning bids in for their coveted prizes, ordering some cocktails at the bar and mingling with some of “New Beginnings” Support Program’s staff/volunteers.
Guests wined and dined at this black tie affair while enjoying the entertaining performances by My Pop Choir and Jade’s Hip Hop Academy. The hosts for the evening Stephen Shea, Executive Director Denise Whitter and The Honorable Mr. Justice Michael H. Tulloch engaged the crowd, gave a speech on some of the success stories and spoke about some inspiring stories.
“New Beginnings” gives women hope and for the first time, an incentive to want to move from their present situation to living a full and productive life. With newfound confidence and practical skills, women continue to walk away from poverty and despair, making a better life for themselves and their children.
New Beginnings Support Program provides a holistic approach working with the individualized programs (one-on-one counseling) to provide them with the self-confidence to gain back the control they may have lost from their circumstances.
We like to thank Rebecca Warren-Social Media Lead&Administrative, Tania Derlis-Public Relations Lead+Denise Whitter-Executive Director-New Beginnings Support Program for the invitation to this event.
