The POGO Ball@Liberty Grand(Sat.,May 7th,2016)
Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO). Is inspired by the children/families whose lives strive to improve. Plus champion childhood cancer care on behalf of the childhood cancer community. POGO presented Travel the Spice Route, which took place at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex on Sat.,May 7th, 2016. The Evening included a lavish culinary experience, striking scenes, dazzling entertainment and unforgettable tales, all in support of children with cancer.
This glamorous formal event brought together the city’s social and business elite for a night filled with delicious food, great entertainment, dancing and lots of fun!
The evening started off with a cocktail reception, including a host bar and scrumptious hors d’oeuvres. The Gala Dinner featured a tribute to Cadillac Fairview, one of the great champions of childhood cancer, as well as POGO’s keynote speaker, Eloise McIntosh, 16-year old childhood cancer survivor. The celebrity emcee for the evening was journalist Glen Baxter, who has appeared on Canada’s Next Top Model, eTalk, The Marilyn Denis Show, CP24 and CTV News Channel.
The live auction, featured one-of-a-kind items, including a trip to Montego Bay, swimming with the pigs in Exuma, and a $5,000 shopping spree,which took place during the dinner. The silent auction with more than 40 fabulous packages for guest to choose from. Lastly there was a promotional draw for a chance to win a fabulous prize!
The evening was not over yet! We stayed for the After Dark party where there was a host bar, late night savoury snacks, entertainment and dancing.
This gala was a lot of fun!, all for a great Cause to help find a cure for kids with cancer!
