The Green Flag Gala is the official opening party and everyone was rev up for the Honda Indy Toronto! And of course the big race was on Sunday by the lakefront.
The Green Flag Gala featured a live auction of race items, experiences and locally sourced treasures. Proceeds supported blood cancer foundation Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation of Canada. WMFC was founded by Arlene Hinchcliffe in 2002. WMFC provides funds for research and ongoing support to those affected by WM, a rare blood cancer and cousin of lymphoma. Special guest and fellow Canadian race car driver James Hinchcliffe was present to meet and greet the guest for the evening. http://www.greenflaggala.com

On Thursday, July 14 at Hunter’s Landing guest mixed and mingled with racing industry personnel to gear up for the race weekend in Toronto.
The 2016 Honda Indy Toronto celebrated 30 years of racing tradition
on the streets of Toronto with an event that looked to revisit years past, with three days of non-stop racing action and jam-packed entertainment in downtown T.O.
The track and the weather was hot from gate open to gate close, with a double feature format that saw the NASCAR Pinty’s Series headline Saturday, July 16 with the Pinty’s Grand Prix of Toronto and the Verizon Indy- Car Series as the highlight of Sunday’s action. There was also the high flying SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks, the Mazda Road to Indy and the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup presented by Yokohama.
We would like to thank and Arlene+Rebecca Hinchcliffe of WMFC for the invitation to this event.
