The PAN AM FOOD FESTIVAL event took over the heart of Toronto, it promised to reveal the flavours of the Americas, local artists and talent. The PAN AMERICAN FOOD FESTIVAL took place on August 13th and 14th, the forth annual PAN AMERICAN Food Festival showcased the best of the best food products, celebrating the great cultural diversity of the 41 countries of North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. The Pan American Food Festival (PAFF) showcased restaurants, food producers, chefs and the variety of national and regional cuisines of the Western Hemisphere, with a spotlight on one country each year.
A cultural festival of art, music and folklore enhanced the food experience to celebrate the region’s diverse cultural expression.
This year, the featured country was Bolivia and Bolivia was generous to sponsor this year’s opening reception which was held on Fri., Aug. 12th at Daniel’s Spectrum, where Bolivian chefs, Bolivian music and entertainers captivated the crowd. Some of the noted guest at the opening reception were: Daniel Garcia-Herreros-Festival Director, Celebrity Bolivian Chef Marko Bonifaz, Federico Trujillo, Andres Gonzalves, Singer Rosario Arce, Carnival Performers-LIasas de Bolivia and Mayor John Torrey. The Pan American Food Festival is a two days festival taking place August 13th and 14th at Dundas Square Toronto
The aim was to promote all kinds of cultural activities, indoors and outdoors, to increase the feeling of magic. The PAFF promotes professional and community artists, featuring the music and folklore of the 41 Pan American countries including: Fito Blanko, Manny Carenas, Chantel Collado, Natalie Castro and Xtravaganza.
