Brett Michaels@Casino Rama(Fri.Sept.23rd,2016)
Poison’s charismatic lead singer Bret Michaels took his solo tour into Casa Rama to a packed audience.
Michaels, an energetic performer who was constantly moving around the Rama stage, turned up the heat, volume and performed for a little over an hour. Poison material like Every Rose Has Its Thorn and Nothin’ Like a Good Time and cover tunes such as Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Sweet Home Alabama, Loggins and Messina’s Your Mama Don’t Dance and KISS’ Rock and Roll All Nite.
Always with bandana in place – his four band members which included Cinderella bassist Eric Brittingham, Michaels initial appearance was preceded by Guns N Roses’ Welcome To the Jungle.
The harmonica playing was warmly welcomed by the crowd before Your Mama Don’t Dance and then he put on an acoustic guitar for Every Rose Has Its Thorn.
Bret Michaels solo band may turn into a full fledge Poison tour with full pyrotechnics so this maybe just a preview of things to come in 2017.
The Celebrity Apprentice winner, Michaels might have something to say about his former reality TV boss, Republican U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump but he left the commentary alone. The set ended with their encore version of Rock N’ Roll by Kiss.
