Hush, Hush@Bloor/Gladstone Library(Sat.,Oct.15th,2016)
The spectacular Bloor/Gladstone Library Branch was the setting for the fourth annual Hush Hush party in support of Toronto Public Library – one of the busiest urban public library systems in the world! This amazing night raised funds so that the 70% of Torontonians who use the library will have more access to technology, learning opportunities and cultural experiences.
Hush Hush was hosted by New Collection, the Toronto Public Library Foundation, which is a young patrons group. Members of New Collection have exclusive access to the city’s vibrant literary scene with events throughout the year that bring together the culturally curious with prominent writers, artists and intellectuals.
Besides signature drinks and eats, guests were treated to a virtual reality experience, a tattoo parlour, a character artist and a pose in the Toronto Life booth…while DJ Barbi kept tracks and tunes going all night!
There were no Deadpool or red Spider-Man tights, and guests were encouraged to celebrate their inner hero or villain with super party accessories. Some of the notable costumes were Suicide Squad outfits and the seductive Librarian outfit.
We would like to thank Alex McGill from The Knot Group for the invitation to this event.
