The 2017 FutureDream Home™ by Probuilt Design + Build, for the first time, is an actual design and build project for a Toronto client. In response to the global challenge of creating a more sustainable society, the FutureDreamHome concept combines luxurious architectural design and integrated smart-home technologies with innovative building products and traditional construction techniques, to create a new kind of house. The focus is about creating a customized living experience — a home that responds to lifestyle expectations and environmentally conscious design principles by embracing experimentation and innovation.
The buildings incorporate a modular and panelized system that are factory-built and shipped to the site for assembly. The precision of this process means less construction waste and a tighter, stronger, and more cost-effective building. Constructing the modules and panels in a climate-controlled facility helps to prevent warping, mold, and other damage caused by weather. The panels also take less time to raise, reducing on-site construction time and cost.

FutureDreamHomes, because of their flexible construction, can be built in any architectural style a client chooses, from sleek and minimalistic, to an ornate Victorian villa or Georgian mansion.

The show is at The Enercare Centre by The CNE until Sunday, March 19th, 2017.
