They rolled out the “Green Caroet” for The 2017 Parachute Gala which was held at Rebel in Toronto on May 31st, 2017. The Parachute Board of Directors, members of the medical community, celebrities, community leaders, and entertainers joined
together to raise awareness and funds for one important cause. Parachute awarded
both His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada and Gordon and Kathleen Stringer with the first Dr. Charles Tator Safety Award’s. The event promises to be an inspiring and magical evening.

Gala co-chairs Michael Budman & Diane Bald presented the Parachute Gala, a magical evening to raise awareness for injury prevention in Canada.
‘Wednesday Night Live’ brought together comedy, music, and support from the health care sector, community leaders, sponsors and celebrities to raise funds to help alleviate the burden of preventable injuries so that Canadians can better understand how to be safe at home, at play, at work, and on the road. The Entertainment: includes:
Dan Aykroyd, actor and Saturday Night Live alumnus,
Stephan Moccio, Academy and Grammy award nominated musician.
The Parachute Gala also featured other Canadian talent with performances by singer-songwriters, Fefe Dobson, Ryland James and Alan Frew (Glass Tiger), and special performance by Finalist of America Got Talent Laura Bretan.
The award ceremony included-Dr. Charles Tator paid tribute to the 2017 Parachute Safety Award Recipients His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada,
Gordon & Kathleen Stringer, parents to Rowan Stringer and advocates of Rowan’s Law
Ned Levitt, Parachute Board Member, presented the Stacey Levitt Memorial Award
Jenicca Jean, student and 2017 Stacey Levitt Memorial Award recipient
