The 16th annual BMO Financial Group presented Scrubs in the City in collaboration with Mantella Corporation, to benefit The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). This year, Evergreen Brick Works was transformed into the bright and bustling city of Marrakech. Guests immersed themselves in all things Moroccan, as the wonders and delights of Marrakech were brought to life with fashion, food, décor, and entertainment.
To date, the annual event has raised more than $4.3 million in support of some of the most critical needs at the hospital.
An exclusive silent auction was available to guests and non-guests alike including luxury one-of-a-kind items such as a Breakfast at Tiffany’s experience, a private catered shopping event for 25 at The September Townhouse, and numerous luxury hotel stays at Fairmont properties worldwide. Bidders and Guests furthered their support for SickKids by participating in an exciting draw for a chance to win a dream vacation package which includes business class flights with Turkish Airlines and seven nights’ accommodation in a Jr. Suite at any Fairmont or Raffles location worldwide, or a $30,000 gift certificate for a vehicle of their choice from any Dilawri Group of Companies location across Canada. Total value of auction and draw prizes is over $100,000.
SickKids is Canada’s leading centre dedicated to improving children’s health and home to Canada’s largest, hospital-based child health research institute, caring for more than 100,000 patients every year. By attending Scrubs in the City 2017, guests were doing so much more than hitting the highlight of the social calendar. They’re raising funds for a renewed, re-imagined SickKids – with cutting-edge operating suites, more room for families, and more room for the innovative technologies that will deliver better outcomes for kids. Everybody mark your calendar – June 7, 2018 is the 17th annual Scrubs in the City in Rome!
