The All-Star Gala In Support Of SickKids@The Arcadian Court-Fri.,June 16th,2017

This year’s Gala took place at beautiful Arcadian Court on Friday, June 16 and it brought together an assortment of personalities from the sporting world.  All proceeds went to the Hospital for Sick Children and the event is one of the most high profile Toronto galas of 2017.
All of the proceeds of the event go to support the highest priority needs of the Hospital for Sick Children.
Those who attended were treated to a Cocktail reception, an open bar, silent/live auctions, a live musical performances and a DJ keeping the guests dancing to the wee hours of Saturday morning.
Proceeds are directed to a research project led by Dr. Mike Seed of the SickKids Family Heart Centre in tandem with other pediatric heart surgeons in Canadian children’s hospitals! The objective was to develop procedures to eliminate brain damage in infant open heart surgery patients using fetal MRI imaging. The Canadian Institutes of Health Research has approved a grant that will match all funds that were raised.

Established in 1972, the SickKids Foundation raises funds on behalf of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and is the largest charitable funder of child health research, learning and care in Canada. Philanthropy is a critical source of funding for SickKids – one of the world’s foremost paediatric health-care institutions.
As a national charity, SickKids Foundation not only invests in the important work taking place at SickKids, it also invests in national and international initiatives to benefit children in Canada and around the world. This commitment is true to the spirit of the Foundation’s founders, who articulated a vision for the Foundation that went well beyond the hospital walls 40 years ago.

We would like to thank Paige Exell of Duet PR for the invitation to this event.
