By BK on the SCENE

The Concert Hall (once known as The Rockpile), was a packed house awaiting Bachman and his band, including his son Tal on guitar, as they took to the stage opening with a instrumental number, then roaring into the B.T.O. classic ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” and then the Guess Who’s “No Time”.
Randy Bachman was also accompanied by Walter Trout and Laila Bali.
Singer/keyboardist Laila Bali, who played on a new blues tune by Bachman, followed the blues song with the SADE cover of “Smooth Operator. ” After, The Guess Who song “No Sugar Tonight” and then , a very fitting jazzy B.T.O. classic “Looking Out For Number One” were performed.
A short intermission was next and then the band set the stage for guest number two of the night, singer-guitarist and bluesman Walter Trout, who played with the legendary John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in the 80’s.
Next the band started the second set with “American Woman” with a  hint of “Whole Lotta Love “riffs and then followed with Walter Trout’s recent album that Bachman guests on. The Following set featured classic rock covers from Bachman’s catalogue as well as Del Shannon’s “Runaway” and a encore mash-up of covers and the classic ‘Taking care of Business”.
We would like to thank Anna Tom for the invitation to this concert.
