The Pan American Food & Music Festival (PAFMF) is Canada’s only annual festival that celebrates the Western Hemisphere’s rich diversity of cuisine, music and art.
On Friday, August 11, guests experienced an unforgettable culinary evening at the Opening Gala Reception for the Pan American Food and Music Festival that included a culinary experience + live music and performances.
VIPs including Mayor John Tory; the Honourable Eleanor McMahon, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport; Ambassadors from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay; consulates from 14 Pan American countries; celebrity chef Jagger Gordon, as well as 40 of the most important CEOs of the Canadian and Latin American communities were in attendance
The name of the Festival was changed this year to include Music, reflecting the actual level of music programming presented alongside the culinary programs. The fifth annual PAFMF was presented on August 12 to 13, 2017 outdoors at Yonge and Dundas Square, with a programming focus on Canadian food and music in celebration of Canada 150.

This free event is presented annually in Toronto to reinforce the growing cultural identity shared among Canadians and the 40 other countries of North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
The Festival was produced by ArtsXplosion, a non-profit cultural organization based in Toronto. ArtsXplosion has successfully delivered 4 editions of the Pan American Food Festival (PAFF), where the Americas showcased their incredible food diversity and cultural richness.
“Canada in Pan America: 41 countries celebrating together ” (CIPA) was the new enhancement program of the fifth Pan American Food and Music Festival.
