Back in 1977, the legendary rock band, Fleetwood Mac, released one of the best-selling albums of all time, “Rumours”. The album has sold over 40 million copies and is known for the top charting singles “Go Your Own Way”, “ Dreams”, “Don’t Stop” and “You Make Loving Fun”. “Rumours” is an album of brilliant songs written and performed by Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.

The Coal Mine Theatre, ( founded by Diana Bentley and Ted Dykstra) has paid tribute to the band and to this amazing album with their new production entitled, “Rumours”. Each song from the album is played masterfully by the cast and with such passion in a very intimate setting. The performers all bring their talent
and love for the songs while adding some soulful elements to the original arrangements.

“Rumours” the concert, was conceived by Ted Dykstra and the cast is a well rounded group of Canada’s top musicians. Lead Singer/Guitarist and Musical Director Mike Borkosky has worked as a music producer and musician with Alannah Myles, Melanie Doane and illScarlett. Lead Singer/Guitarist Andrea Ramolo is one half of the duo Scarlett Jane and has recorded three solo albums. Lead Singer SATE has released her debut album “RedBlack&Blue” to great acclaim. Keyboardist/Vocalist Derek Giberson is bandleader of Professors of Funk and a member of The Julian Taylor Band. At the performance we attended, the audience was encouraged to sing along with the band and really connect to these classic songs. The setlist consisted of “Second Hand News”, ” Dreams” “Never Going Back Again” “Don’t Stop” “Go Your Own Way”, “Songbird”, “The Chain”, “You Make Loving Fun”, “I Don’t Want to Know” and ” Oh Daddy”.
