Joie de Vivre! Joie de Danser!
Much like Paris during “the beautiful era”, Canada’s National Ballet School was a beacon for technological progress, profound artistry and the human spirit. It was an evening of cultural abundance, celebrating the creativity and vitality of NBS’ programming in the effervescent style of Parisians at the turn of the century.

Vive la Belle Époque!
Canada’s National Ballet School hosted a magical evening for over 600 patrons and friends. There were amazing performances and exceptional raffle prizes that kept generous supporters returning, year after year.

NBS’ annual fundraising gala was a wonderful opportunity to support the benefits of dance for everyone: from the very gifted students in the Professional Ballet Program to the many participants in NBS’ Community Programs.

More than fifty-six years after the School first opened, NBS continues to demonstrate the relevance of dance to improving quality of life for people of all ages and abilities. Whether by preparing elite, Olympic-calibre dancers for professional careers or by demonstrating the value of dance for public health, NBS delivers extraordinary feats every day.

The NBS gala celebrated the beauty and relevance of dance experienced by elite young dancers destined for professional careers, and people of all ages who dance for fun, fitness and quality of life. The gala plays a crucial role in securing over 40% of the School’s annual fundraising goal in a single night.
