PATM is a long-awaited, much planned collaboration from veteran Canadian music makers Dee and the Grand Brothers, following some studio time, some songwriting time, and oh, that one time Dee and the Grand Brothers’ Dominique were almost arrested by George Bush’s personal bodyguard during a motorcycle ride from Montreal to Maine.

Come Together To Make Vintage Rock Modern
Patiently Awaiting The Meteorite Release
Debut Full-Length Album, CANYON DIABLO
More than ten years in the making, Canadian music veterans Dee and the Grand Brothers have finally released their debut full-length collaborative album under Patiently Awaiting The Meteorite — CANYON DIABLO — available now!
You’ll hear Bon Iver, Pink Floyd, The Dandy Warhols, Beck and more in CANYON DIABLO, as the psychedelic and progressive sounds of the 60s and 70s cross the cutting edge of rock today.
Having met in 2006 while working on Dee’s second solo album, Day By Day, a fast friendship that would solidify over time was formed. With synergies throughout their professional music production careers, it was a chance pop-in at a New York City studio in 2015 where the question of “hey guys, why don’t we write some tunes together” turned into “since we’re having so much fun, let’s start a band!”
The multi-decade refinement in each of their production styles and art shows in Patiently Awaiting The Meteorite and CANYON DIABLO. The trio’s sonic signature is at once modern yet vintage, diverse but flawlessly finessed, familiar yet wholly unexpected.
Catch CANYON DIABLO May 18, 2018 via Patiently Awaiting The Meteorite’s imprint, Unda In Choc, distributed by Believe Digital.
// ABOUT THE GRAND BROTHERS
In an impressive feat, the Grand Brothers have sold more than one million albums internationally. Having produced, co-produced, mixed and contributed to the success of some of Quebec and Canada’s most notable projects, such as Bran Van 3000, Cirque du Soleil, Pascale Picard, Terez Montcalm and Kevin Parent, it was their own start in a band called Day Dream that kicked off the brothers’ 15-year career.
// ABOUT DEE
Dee is a multi-talented musician who defies classification. Having caught the musical bug at age six with a spin of The Beatles, he founded The Urbanauts in late 90s, and released an eponymous debut album in the mid-2000s. With frequent comparisons to artists like Beck, Dee’s success selling upwards of 20,000 copies meant he’s been long-touted as ‘one to watch’ and recognized in his adopted city of Montreal as a unique figure in the anglophone pop music scene.
