The seventh annual Moonlight Gala-A Night Under The Stars, returned on Saturday, June 2nd. As an extraordinary gala, it never disappoints and always “TOPS” the previous year!
Proceeds from this annual event goes directly towards the preservation of over 6,000 works of art.

The Moonlight Gala helps to ensure that the McMichael remains a place to experience great Canadian art. This successful event includes the commitment of — donors, committee members, Honorary Council and Patrons, volunteers, and sponsors.

The yearly trip to Kleinberg, Ontario was well worth it, as we attended The 7th annual McMichael Canadian Art Collection. This is the premier fundraiser and this year’s event was another fabulous evening under the stars, a night with ambiance unlike any other. Upon arrival, we were treated to a glass of wine and as we strolled down the candle-lit path, we encountered some amazing savoury delicacies before arriving at the spectacular open-air Stoney terrace where moon-lit soiree was being held.

The Moonlight Gala celebrates the connection between art and nature with an inspired menu of abundant gourmet cuisine and awarding-winning Ontario wines. Under the stars and amongst the soaring pines of the McMichael, guests feel transported to a place hidden away in the midst of the city. Created for 500 guests, this one-of-a-kind event, featured captivating live entertainment and Graffiti Art by Eklipz. Besides a live DJ, the patrons were treated to a live set by Michie Mee, Humber College Students & Recent Graduates and Montreal’s Rhapsody Orchestra with it’s 13 piece orchestra that had the audience off their seats and dancing to their unique style of disco, rock and pop music.

Also in attendance were: honorary patrons – Shantelle & Yannick Bisson, Julian & Liviana Fantino, Debra Fenwick, Rina Pillitteri and Maurizio Bevilacqua to name a few of the attendees.

Guests were treated to a silent/live auction, a wine walk – The Walkway, a cigar station, multiple food stations, Caesar Bar, Coffee Bar, Scotch station, a candy station/chocolate tasting and late-night food station to close off the night. It was a great evening for a great cause and we look forward to Moonlight Gala 2019 at The McMichael Gallery.

We would like to thank Daniela Travierso-Galati, Media Relations and Communications Coordinator Of The McMichael Canada Art Collection for the invitation to this event.
